So it's finally SUMMER :) Yahoo!! With summer comes some of my favorite things....sunshine, blue skies, hot days, warm nights, flip flops, flowers blooming, festivals, outdoor fun, biking, butterflies fluttering, squirrels playing, beach days, picnics, pool days, all the yummy fresh produce, farmers markets, gardens, exploring new outdoor places, river walks, gorgeous sunsets, grilling, eating watermelon like it's going outta style, swinging on the porch swing, watching nature, jammin to some great uplifting music OUTSIDE and SO much more :)!! Summertime is my FAVORITE time of year!
With all this summertime stuff, I can't help but think how much better I feel when my body is nourished and taken care of. How about you? Do you take the time to take care of you? Besides eating healthfully, do you take care of you? Spiritually, Mentally, Physically? Even if it's something very simple that doesn't take much time...a couple something that you enjoy...FOR nourish your soul :)

Much Love & Health~

First Day of School :))))

So today was the first 'official' day of school, and I could hardly think of anything else :) It is so amazing to be going through this experience, and sharing it with such wonderful like-minded people!! Truly a blessing.
Today also had me thinking of my journey to this point, and am just so amazed at the strength of our Lord.....So looking back 2 months, the Lord led me to the IIN program...and I wasn't sure it was really what he wanted me to do..I struggle daily with self confidence and social thinking that the Lord would want me to get out there and help other people w/something I am so passionate about, was a huge step....BUT, after LOTS of praying, just felt the Lord telling me, that he does what we can't...if he leads us to it, he'll never leave us w/o the tools to follow through and do what we're called to do. I know most of us will have our days or moments where we'll second guess ourself, etc. There is a song that I LOVE that fit perfectly into these moments, and I heard this during that time of not knowing if this was the right path for me...The Lord confirmed his path for me, and listening to this song gives such peace :) LINK--->  Walk On The Water by: Britt Nicole   Love what the Lord can & does do!! Aspartame Effects----Diet Soda Drinkers, Beware

So this morning, this article jumped out at me....I know a lot of people drink diet drinks, or 'sugar free' which most have this artificial sweetener in it....the article is by Dr. Mercola...I love his website, it's on the link list at the right side of this page, near the bottom...feel free to click it and peek around that site...ok, back to the was stating that there has been new studies on aspartame...not only are there the side effects that it has stated already, but a new study is now linking it to stroke......"This study suggests that diet soda is not an optimal substitute for sugar-sweetened beverages, and may be associated with a greater risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, or vascular death than regular soda." Reports of adverse reactions to the US FDA also supports this, as aspartame accounts for over 75 percent of the adverse reactions to food additives reported to the FDA!

Long-term and Acute Adverse Effects of Aspartame

Acute reactions following aspartame ingestion, as reported to the FDA, include:
  • Headaches/migraines
  • Nausea
  • Abdominal pains
  • Fatigue (blocks sufficient glucose entry into brain)
  • Sleep problems
  • Vision problems
  • Anxiety attacks
  • Depression
  • Asthma/chest tightness.
Studies have also linked aspartame consumption to a wide range of health problems, including but not limited to:
  • Emotional disorders
  • Epilepsy/seizures
  • Fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Memory loss, and Alzheimer’s disease
  • Cancer
  • Premature birth, and birth defects

What Makes Aspartame so Dangerous?

Aspartame is made up of:
  • Phenylalanine: 50 percent
  • Methanol (aka wood alcohol/poison): 10 percent that is formed from breaking the ester bond linkage of aspartic acid and pheylalanine.

That's pretty SCARY!! This is just part of the article, it you want to view the entire article, go to:
